Back when Nickelodeon first launched their throwback block of programming in 2011, The ’90s Are All That, I was ecstatic. The problem, however, is that it’s two hours long (which means only four shows can be in rotation at a time)…and it airs from midnight to 4 am. Now, I love my 90s Nicktoons just as much as the next nerd, but a man’s gotta sleep! I’ve (maybe) had a chance to watch the show a half dozen times since it first premiered which means my animation diet has been highly Nicktoon deficient these past few years. Luckily, that’s about to change.
According to several sources, Nickelodeon is gearing up to launch a brand new channel dedicated solely to 90s programming (specifically Nicktoons) called The Splat. That means shows like Ren & Stimpy, Rocko’s Modern Life, Rugrats, Hey Arnold!, Action League Now and Doug—maybe even live action shows like Legends of the Hidden Temple, Kenan & Kel and Double Dare—will be available to watch 24/7!
What 90s Nickelodeon shows would you like to see make a comeback on The Splat?
