As if Funko hasn’t already given us enough cute collectibles to consume, I just learned about their new(ish) product line: Mopeez. A series of plush toys, each Mopeez features the same “slouchy posture and adorable frustration” with a variety of licensed characters sporting the same mopey expression… in fact, they’d be depressing if they weren’t so freaking adorable!
Thus far, the Mopeez line has consisted of comic characters from both Marvel and DC but come Fall Funko finds the perfect match for their four and a half-inch apathetic figures: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Featuring seven new Mopeez in all, the release will include “Jack Skellingon, his ghost dog, Zero, and his beloved Sally [plus] Jack in his Pumpkin King costume, as well as the Mayor of Halloween Town, Vampire Teddy and Oogie Boogie.”
Also announced were two additions to The Nightmare Before Christmas POP! vinyl figures: ‘Pumpkin King’ Jack and ‘Nightshade’ Sally. Release dates for all the figures mentioned here are listed for the end of October or early November.
