Monday Morning Videomania #141

Iron Maiden – Speed Of Light (Official Video)

After a five-year absence, metal band Iron Maiden are getting ready to release their 16th studio album, The Book of Souls, in September. Actually, it’s a double album which mean twice the metal tuneage, and they’ve kicked things off by juxtaposing the band’s 40 year journey with the evolution of video games over the same time period. The video itself stars their mascot “Eddie” as he hops from one gaming homage to another. Get ready to bang–your–head!

Ronald McDonald Rampage: Serious Beef

Despite your opinion of Hatred—the controversial indie game starring a trenchcoat-wearing, gun-toting psychopath on “genocide campaign”—this 8-bit parody by #mashed is pretty funny. I guess if you’re going to make a game about a mass-murdering nutcase, it helps to add a little levity… you know, like a burger bazooka or a fully-automatic grease gun. Maybe toss in some shake grenades and a carbonated rocket pack. Just remember folks, fast food doesn’t kill people (okay, well maybe over time)… under-appreciated clowns with guns kill people.

How The Fantastic Four Would ACTUALLY React To Their Powers

Now that the new Fantastic Four film has affirmed the internet’s year-long “suck-fest” speculation we can finally move on. Personally, I haven’t seen Josh Trank’s take on Marvel’s first family because, frankly, it doesn’t look interesting. But you know what is interesting? This lowbrow parody by Dorkly that finds the FF less worried about their new powers (or how bad their film franchise is) and more concerned about ensuring their genitals are still intact. Luckily, everyone seems to make out okay… except for The Thing, which is sort of ironic when you think about it.
