‘Scary Movie Ice Cream Night’ Podcast Debuts on iTunes

With so many podcasts popping up every month, it seems, trying to one worth listening to is like trying to narrow down your favor flavor of ice cream. For some people it’s easy, for others it takes a little trial and error. In the case of Scary Movie Ice Cream Night, I instantly knew I would become a subscriber as soon as I heard Michael Anderson (Atomukk Pizzeria, Circle Jerk Stickers) singing during the intro. There was just something about it, and the whole premise of the show, that reminds me of retro B-movie horror films like Ice Cream Man (go figure, right?).

Anderson joins co-host Cole Roberts to talk about a different horror movie while eating ice cream… it’s sort of like listening in on a scary sleepover between two best friends (in truth, the podcast is partially inspired by Anderson and Roberts real life friendship during college). The result is an honest approach to discovering (or re-discovering) forgotten or overlooked horror films that proves both entertaining and insightful. Recent episodes include The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014) and Dr. Giggles. New podcasts are posted every week on Soundcloud and iTunes.
