Maybe it’s just me, but California seems to be the capitol for all the cool art shows this Summer. Case in point, LA-based Gallery1988 is hosting not one, not two but THREE new shows this month including “No Sad Stuff,” a group exhibition inspired by the films of Tom Hanks (1984-1994). We’re talking a gold mine of movies including The Money Pit, Dragnet, Big, The Burbs, Turner & Hooch and Forrest Gump (just to name a few)—all great inspirations for some impressive artwork. Speaking of impressive artwork, here’s a few sneak peeks at some of the pieces featured in the show:
