Inspector Gadget, Danger Mouse and DuckTales All Get Reboots!

Don’t call it a comeback! …okay, you can call it a comeback. In fact, make it three. After Monday’s announcement that Pee-Wee Herman is returning to (to film), Netflix also revealed that it would be bringing back Inspector Gadget and Danger Mouse. We covered the new Inspector Gadget series—which recently aired in Europe—last year, but now we finally have a release date (March). For my two cents, it looks like a pretty rad remake. Not much is known about Danger Mouse yet, except that it’s due out next Spring.

As if that wad of nostalgia wasn’t enough, Disney XD surprised fans by announcing that DuckTales (a-woo-hoo!) would be returning to the TV screen in 2017. According to Marc Buhaj (SVP, Programming and General Manager for Disney XD):

DuckTales’ has a special place in Disney’s TV animation history, it drew its inspiration from Disney Legend Carl Barks’ comic books and through its storytelling and artistic showmanship, set an enduring standard for animated entertainment that connects with both kids and adults. Our new series will bring that same energy and adventurous spirit to a new generation.
