Fan Art Friday: Travis Falligant‘s SCOOBY-DOO LOST MYSTERIES

Most of these pieces have been floating around on the internets for a few weeks now, but what kind of strange kid would I be if I didn’t give them a mention here at the clubhouse? A bad one, that’s what kind. A really bad one. So, in the interest of keeping my Strange Kids Club street cred, and because they’re just so damn rad, here’s a small selection from graphic artist Travis Falligant‘s “Scooby-Doo Lost Mysteries” fan art series:

The Scooby Doo series started with me rewatching the old cartoons and wanting to see the gang go up against my fave horror icons. I use screen grabs of certain scenes and of the Scooby gang in various poses. I then illustrate the new monster/slasher/villain they are going up against, trying to stay in the style of the old artwork used in the series. I finally marry all of those elements in Photoshop and add grain and blur to the images so they look as though they were scenes taken straight from the show.
