With all the right elements of an episode from Aeon Flux and the visual aesthetic of Cowboy Bebop, PostHuman is an impressive short film which features a combination of “espionage, assassins, and out of control super science” and the results are nothing short of spectacular.
Directed by Cole Drumb and produced by Jennifer Wai-Yin Luk, PostHuman finds a hacker (Terrence) who’s hired to help free a metahuman test subject named Benjamin from some sort of underground lab facility. In the process human bodies and squeezed like fresh fruit, exploded (both by ESP and traditional means) and generally obliterated. It’s a short, but intense, thrill ride and one I wouldn’t mind riding for a little longer.
