‘8-Bit Zombie’ Gears Up For Another Rad Summer Release

For the uninitiated, 8-Bit Zombie is a totally rad (yeah, I’m going 90s on you here) online shop run by Ross Dewey. A true strange kid and pop culture nostalgist, Dewey has consistently upped the ante for every new release featuring awesome new products that pay tribute to our childhood. In fact, the annual Summer 8BZ release has become somewhat of a tradition – generating tons of buzz on Facebook with a slew of drool-inducing teases and sneak peeks.

This year is no different with sneak peeks already revealing a new 8BZ lunchbox, a custom-made toy, Garbage Pail Kid-style trading cards and more as-yet-to-be-seen secrets. We won’t have to wait much longer, though to see what Dewey has in store for us as all the new merchandise drops this Saturday, July 27th. I can’t WAIT!!

UPDATE 7/26/2013 at 14:45am:

I don’t know how they did it but 8BZ has officially blown my mind with this limited edition MOTU-style custom action figure! You can bet I’ll be glued to my computer tomorrow morning around 9 or 10 AM Mountain Standard Time when this glorious slime green figure drops.

Meet Thrashor – The first 8-bit ZOMBIE custom toy! The most radical zombie in all Eternia is now in 3 glorious, slime green dimensions!

This first run of figures is limited to 50 and each package will be hand numbered by yours truly. And yes that Skateboard is a separate piece. These bad boys are the same size as MOTU figures and will fit right in with your He-Man collection. And they turned out AMAZING! Can’t tell you how pleased I am with them. If you know me, you know that I LOVE 80’s toys so this is a bit of a dream come true.
