Independently Awesome: Jess Smart Smiley’s Look-n-Find Monster Book

It’s been awhile since our last Independently Awesome post, but with convention season now underway and tons of great new projects out there to waiting be discovered it’s about time for it to make a comeback (don’t call it a comeback!) return. This time out we’ve got an interesting project by Utah-based artist Jess Smart Smiley.

Smiley, whose first graphic novel (Upside Down: A Vampire Tale) came out last year via Top Shelf Productions, is working on a monster-themed look-n-find book called Rumpus on the Run. Featured a horde of monsters that span 10 unique scenes (worlds), it’s is admittedly a children’s book BUT the cool thing about Smiley’s campaign is that he’s looking for members of the Kickstarter community to contribute to a “special Kickstarter Look-N-Find” page by submitting their own character!

If you’re interested in learning more or to see how you can help support this project, be sure to stop by the Monster Look-N-Find Book Kickstarter page.
