Monday Morning Videomania #20: Luigi Gets Revenge, Metal Slug Movie, Mad Max vs Zombies

(LIVE ACTION) Super Mario Bros.

Luigi’s always played second fiddle in the Mario Bros. universe. Even in his own games (Luigi’s Mansion, Luigi’s Mansion 2) he’s treated like a big joke. So what’s a brother got to do in order to get some respect? By taking it to the streets with Mario for a brotherly beat-down for starters of course! That’s right, Mario and Luigi go toe-to-toe in this Super Smash Bros. style live action fight. Can Luigi really come out from under the shadow of his brother? Watch to find out!

Metal Slug The Movie trailer

Created by Blue Core Studios, the same studio that recently released their Sonic the Hedgehog fan film teaser, Metal Slug The Movie trailer is a parody (of sorts) featuring video game über-nerd and personality Keith Apicary in his quest to produce – you guessed it – Metal Slug: The Movie. Basically it’s a movie within a movie that takes place inside Apicary’s head and it’s pretty funny. Add in those giant E.T. aliens and blood-spewing superpowers and you’d possibly have the best movie ever.

WYRMWOOD – An Australian Zombie Film

The work of two brothers, Kiah and Tristan Roache-Turner, Wyrmwood is a post-apocalyptic zombie film that has already drawn comparison to movies like Land of the Dead and Mad Max. The Roache-Turner’s make it their own, though, with some interesting video-game inspired cinematography and a variety of zombies (that spew gas?!) – including one that borrows through the earth like a worm! Currently one-third of the way through filming, the brothers are currently seeking funds on IndieGoGo.
