RONDAL SAYS: Due out December 18th, this HUGE Masters of the Universe collection is being released in celebration of the property’s 30th anniversary and is the most comprehensive set to date. Included in this collection are all three series (though, only a select few episodes from The New Adventures) in addition to a bunch of bonus material and even an exclusive He-Man sword accessory. Are you feeling “the power” yet? You will.

THE RUBE SAYS: This is just creepy and cool! Solve this Rubik puzzle, designed by Jason Freeny, by lining up the creases before you *BOORF!* your holiday dinner all over the Christmas tree! The Brain Cube even FEELS like a brain since it’s made out of is made of Kraton, a synthetic (and squishy!) rubber replacement. Cube away, cube genius!

RONDAL SAYS: Forget Pillow Pets, THIS is the kind of pillow I want on my bed! Perfect for any self-respecting strange guy or girl, the Stay Puft Pillow Buddy reminds me of something between a wrestling buddy and a teddy bear. Plus, not only does this little guy look as friendly as his Saturday morning counterpart but he’s sure to match your Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles bed sheets!
Lou Scheimer: Creating the Filmation Generation (Amazon.com) – Price: $20
RONDAL SAYS: Long since out of print in hardcover format, Lou Scheimer: Creating the Filmation Generation resurfaced this year with a new paperback version of the book, which finds Lou Scheimer (co-founder of Filmation Studios) revealing the history behind the company as well as some of highlighting its animated series, live action projects and greatest achievements (Masters of the Universe being one of the most notable). Animation fans will also enjoy the plethora of rare production artwork, character sheets, photos and more.

THE RUBE SAYS: Man, out of all of the tin toy robots that I have, this one is the greatest of them all! This tiny titan stands at 12 inches high and lights up while walking. Then if that wasn’t the coolest thing that you’ve ever seen, it’s chest opens up to reveals 2 turret guns that go RAT-TAT-TAT!! while the torso spins around it’s tin body… and then before you can say WTF?, it closes up and continues on it’s way to put your great old Nana out of her misery. RONDAL SAYS: Perfect for that Alderaanian princess in your life, this hoodie is a must-have in any female Star Wars fan’s wardrobe. A bit hefty on the price side of things, but if it can weather the icy planets of the Hoth system I say it’s totally worth it… waitaminute, it’s not space-tested? Oh well, at least it still looks cool!
