Fan Art Friday: Phil Postma’s ‘Monster Mansion’ Cereal Mascot TV Show

Any self-respecting strange kid will tell you, one of the highlights of Halloween is seeing our old friends (Count Chocula, Frankenberry, Boo Berry) gracing store shelves once again. As a kid – heck, even as an adult – there’s no taste sweeter than munching on a box of Monster Cereal while watching cartoons on Saturday morning. With countless fans around the world, there’s tons of fan art out there celebrating these sugar-frosted icons of fright. I recently discovered one of my favorite takes by illustrator Phil Postma and just had to share. Here’s his pitch:

I have always loved the General Mills Cereal Monsters when I was a kid and always wanted to see a Saturday morning show about them. Well I came across them again and decided to fulfill my wish, and gave them a place to have there adventure and some new friends to go with it: [Monster Mansion]. I just did some mock-up “screen captures” of The Monster Mansion TV show just to see what the show would look like.
