John Kricfalusi and George Liquor Wish Everyone a Merry Christmas!

Shortly after Nickelodeon cancelled The Ren & Stimpy Show -citing it as overly violent – creator John Kricfalusi and his studio (Spümcø) decided to go balls out with a completely uncensored series of cartoons online. As the first series ever to be released this way, The Goddamn George Liquor Program! was rude, crude and delightfully tactless (if you can’t tell, I loved it). Although it only lasted 8 episodes, the George Liquor Program! served as one of the inspirations behind our very own Strange Kid. This Christmas short, which also stars Jimmy the Idiot Boy and Sody Pop, really captures a lot of the weird, raunchy humor that made the series so great.

    did John go onto making The Ripping Friends for FOX saturday morning cartoons after this short?

    • I believe so… George Liquor was sort of his transition period and then Ripping Friends was like his return to regular TV. Thanks for bringing that up actually, I need to go back and watch that show!
