Fan Art Friday: Patrick Schoenmaker’s Animated ‘Army of Darkness’

I’ve been in a real Evil Dead kind of mood ever since re-discovering the old game adaptations like yesterday’s Evil Dead: Regeneration. After doing a little search and surf, I stumbled upon another Evil Dead-related project that looked too good to be true courtesy of animator, Patrick Schoenmaker.

It seems awhile back in 2009 Shoenmaker was working on what could have been the most awesome animated series EVER based on Sam Raimi’s Army of Darkness. Apparently, Shoenmaker had been working off and on the project for years before finally deciding to just post his character designs and concept art. So, too good to be true? Yes, sadly it was, but it’s still well worth a Friday Fan Art solo show. Be sure to click each image to enlarge for maximum awesome-fication.
