Monday Morning Videomania #164

Written and Directed by Greg Gunn and Reza Rasoli, Future! Taco! Meow! was originally created as part of Disney XD’s animated shorts program. Featuring a unique color palette and character designs by Chuck BB (Black Metal comic) and Maximus Pauson (Rick and Morty), the short centers around three band mates Max, Ozzi and Stew (the titular Future! Taco! Meow!) and what happens when Max is overcome by his ego…in the form of a giant growth on his forehead.

Metallica: Murder One (Official Music Video)

Hot off METALLICA’s new album, Hardwired… To Self-Destruct, Murder One pays tribute to the late Mot√∂rhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister by not only being named after the artist’s favorite amp, but also using some of his song titles in the lyrics. The music video, directed by Robert Valley (Gorillaz, Tron: Uprising), takes things even further by offering up a wickedly fun series of hard-rocking vignettes starring, you guessed it, Lemmy.

Spectacle of the Real

Putting aside any personal opinions about illusionist David Blaine (some people love him, others can’t stand him…I couldn’t care less), it’s hard not to be amazed by this animated intro from his latest magic special, Spectacle of the Real. Directed by BUCK, an international coalition of creative individuals, and narrated by none other than Christopher Walken this is the kind of imaginative thought I’d love to see applied to a Dr. Strange animated series—not unlike HBO’s Spawn series from the late 90s.
