Dan The Man – Stage 1

Similar to EXIT 73 Studios’ Boltron Ninja Massacre, Dan the Man is a 16-bit style parody of video games by Halfbrick Studios (Fruit Ninja, Jetpack Joyride). Simultaneously taking stabs at action hero cliches, Dan the Man proves that saving the Princess doesn’t necessarily mean a happy ending. In fact, it’s only the beginning of a whole new challenge…good thing Dan’s got extra lives.

Giraffe Tongue Orchestra – Blood Moon

I had never heard of Giraffe Tongue Orchestra until stumbling across them last week, but I’m glad I did if for no other reason than it led me to this music video promoting their latest single, Blood Moon. The song itself is catchy enough, but it’s the deft juxtaposition of cute meets creepy in the video that really caught my attention as a trio of Harajuku girls torture the band with supernatural splendor.

The Triforce Awakens! Part 1

Animator James Farr is at it again with another animated mashup: The Triforce Awakens! This time Farr has dived deeper into the Nintendo-verse with classic characters such as Kid Icarus, Kirby and Phanto joining the usual casts of Mario, Link and Donkey Kong in a colorful reimagining of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Bonus points to Farr for even including King Hippo!
