When it comes to cleanliness I consider myself to be a pretty tidy individual…whether my family and friends see me that way, though, remains to be seen. I mean, can I really help it if others lack a true appreciation for the chronological organization of my jars of belly lint or the sophisticated color classification system behind my collection of used bubblegum. I think not.
For those out there with absolutely no sense of such refined cleaning processes however—you filthy barbarians—there’s still hope for you yet. Even better, there’s a fun way to tame your out-of-control clutter and level up your lackadaisical hygiene habits. Enter What a Mess!, a brand new pop up book by designer, illustrator and paper engineer Keith Allen currently on Kickstarter. Allen, inspired by his two children, first conceived of the this project as a personal challenge and has chipped away at over the past year. Chock full of amazingly complex pop-up illustrations, the final product looks as much like fine art as it does a children’s book.
With the book now complete and his heart set of self-publishing, Allen has hit up Kickstarter to raise production costs for a Spring 2017 release. If you’re interested in learning more or to see how you can help support this project, be sure to stop by the What a Mess! Kickstarter page.
