Mondo Takes a BITE out of Jimmy Giegerich’s EXECUTIONER & FRIEND

Executioner and Friend

A brand new series premiered on Mondo’s BITE channel yesterday, created by illustrator Jimmy Giegerich. We first met Giegerich back in 2010 when the “Warrior of the Graphic Wasteland” revealed the inspiration behind his work along with his love-hate relationship with vomit. More recently, Giegerich successfully funded his own comic on Kickstarter called Fight Frogs.

Now it would appear that the artist has set his sights on animation and the result is nothing less than the eye-gougingly awesome Executioner and Friend. Based on another comic by Giegerich (available online here or here), Executioner and Friend follows the “ordinary” life of the titular Executioner and his muck-encrusted chum. Copious amounts of disembowelings, decapitations, gougings and other indescribable tortures await.
