Rankin/Bass Book Signing with Historian Rick Goldschmidt—This Sunday!

MMP_PromoPosterAttention all strange kids in the North Eastern-ish hemisphere of the US: this Sunday, October 26th, Rankin/Bass historian and biographer Rick Goldschmidt will be in attendance at Amazing Fantasy Books in Tinley Park, IL. We actually reviewed Goldschmidt’s Mad Monster Party book a few years back and it’s everything you could hope for—from rare or never-before-seen photos to an actual reprint of Dell’s original Mad Monster Party comic book!

Beyond that, Goldschmidt has also written similar historical tomes about Rankin/Bass’ Rudolph holiday special as well as a broader overview of the studio’s called The Enchanted World of RANKIN/BASS: A Portfolio. PLUS, he’s going to have a very limited number of our Mad Monster Party prints on hand so if you’re looking to save on shipping, here’s your chance! Be sure to tell him Strange Kid sent ya.
