Cool Stuff: MUTANT MANIA Minifigure Toy Line

Mutant Mania figures

mutant-mania-figuresThis tasty little tidbit of information came to us from club member, Benjamin Hayden, who sent us a tip last week. While JAKKS Pacific’s S.L.U.G. Zombies (Scary Little Ugly Guys) series seems to be defunct, Moose Toys is looking to fill the gap with their own minifigure line called MUTANT MANIA. Seemingly a mash-up of Monsters in My Pocket and the harder rubber M.U.S.C.L.E. figures, the Mutant Mania line features 120 monstrous wrestlers whose body parts can be dismembered and reconfigured into custom creatures thanks to their stretchy “flexi-spine.”

In addition to the figures and “Rampage Area” playset, Moose has also released a web series, of sorts, and you know what? It’s actually pretty cool! Produced by Studio Moshi, the animated mini-episodes actually make me imagine how a rebooted MIMP series could look.

Not sure where these little guys are available at yet, as I haven’t spotted them in stores myself, but you can snag some online at Toys R Us.
