The official Popeye tribute show—Strong To The Finich!—opened in LA’s Hero Complex Gallery last week (Sep. 5), celebrating the character’s 85th birthday. The show features work from over 100 artists from around the world and has been “four [long] years in the making” according to curator, uber-Popeye fan and illustrator Joseph Game (aka Chogrin), whose work also appears in the show.

You can check out some of our favorite pieces below or scope out all of the work on the Strong to the Finich! Tumblr site. If you’re interested in buying artwork, be sure to stop by Hero Complex Gallery’s online storefront.
