Legend of Hell House

Some of the DVD/Blu-Ray releases this week.

Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return – This has been on my radar for a while. It languished in development for a long time. Then I think it sort of got dumped after Raimi’s Oz the Great and Powerful. It’s got a great cast, but the collective “MEH” from EVERYBODY sort of keeps me away. But, being the Oz aficionado that I am, I’ll have to watch it at some point.

Twilight Zone 80s: The Complete Series

The Musketeers (BBC) – Why am I just now finding out that there is a BBC series based on the Three Musketeers?!

Legend of Hell House (1973) – 1973 horror classic starring Roddy McDowall, Clive Reville and Michael Gough. It’s based on a screenplay written by Richard “I Am Legend” Matheson which is also based on Matheson’s book Hell House. It’s a haunted house movie but it’s a classic within the genre.

The Double (2013) – Jesse Eisenberg will usually intrigue me and will not usually steer me wrong (except for Cursed….f**king CURSED). The premise of this, like I said is intriguing. I want to see it to see how the whole situation plays out. Check out the darkly weird trailer.

Legends of Oz…meh about sums it up. It’s definitely aimed at the younger crowd.
