Independently Awesome: Sean Dove’s Ode to Bond – ‘The Last Days of Danger’

The name’s Bond. #DECEMBOND

Sorry, predictable joke, I know, but I couldn’t resist. Actually, you can blame Sean Dove for putting the thought in my head since it was his Kickstarter project, The Last Days of Danger, that inspired the joke. You see, last year, Dove began an art series called #DECEMBOND which paid tribute to spy films – specifically James Bond. Fast forward through time to last week and Dove has launched a fundraising campaign on Kickstarter to publish an “8”x10”, 56-page library-bound hardcover book” the collects all 23 illustrations PLUS supplemental drawings and related reviews.

Of course, one of the perks of making the book through Kickstarter is that backers can also snag limited edition print versions of their favorite scenes. Are you a fan of Octopussy? There’s a print for that. How about Dr. No? There’s a print for that. Are you more of a current gen Bond fan (Daniel Craig)? There’s a print for all three of the new films! Dove even did a fun animated video to promote his cause which we’ve included below in addition to a few preview images.
