‘Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge’ Premieres March 25th on SYFY

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge on SYFY

So while there hasn’t been any news on The Jim Henson Company’s adult-oriented Happytime Murders puppet film since 2012, I guess we’ll have to settle for the next best thing… a new TV show! Okay, so it’s not really a new Muppet TV show, but Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge does seems like a step in the right direction for bringing puppet-themed projects back to the mainstream.

Inspired by the success of shows like Face/Off, the Creature Shop Challenge takes the same competitive formula and applies it to puppet-building with Brian Henson as the head judge. Even more interesting is the spin that “each episode will end with on-set performances involving the elaborate and life-like creations” which could be really entertaining.

Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge premieres on Tuesday, March 25th at 10/9c.
