Independently Awesome: KUNG FURY by Laser Unicorns

I have seen the future… and it is rad! At least, through the eyes of Swedish director David Sandberg and the crew at Laser Unicorns it is. Kung-fu, mullets (okay, not so awesome), DeLoreans, Nintendo Power Gloves, explosions, dinosaurs, vikings with machine guns, time travel… they’re all there present and accounted for in KUNG FURY, Sandberg’s gloriously over-the-top vision for a 30-minute film that pays homage to 80s style action/comedy films.

During an unfortunate series of events a friend of Kung Fury is assasinated by the most dangerous kung fu master criminal of all time; Adolf Hitler, a.k.a Kung Führer. Kung Fury decides to travel back in time, to Nazi Germany, in order to kill Hitler and end the Nazi empire once and for all.

Sounds too good to be true, right? It’s not. In fact, according to the projects Kickstarter page the film is just about done – they just need a little extra help to wrap up post-production before it’s finished and they can release it (FREE!) online.
