Monday Morning Videomania #28: Dinner Parties, DuckTales and Melting Faces

Monday Morning Videomania

Black Light Dinner Party – We Are Golden

Created by dreambear, this animated music video for Black Light Dinner Party’s ‘We Are Golden’ synthpop single features Soola and Pum, a Lara Croft-eque eskimo and her polar bear pal, as they fight off Tetris-loving pirates and (eventually) the moon. The best thing about this video though – aside from, well, everything – is that there’s also an 8-bit platform game that ties into it! While the game isn’t too challenging, winners receive one of four different prizes (mine was an mp3 single) which is actually pretty cool.

DuckTales Remastered – Announcement Trailer

That’s right, DuckTales is the next old school game to get a fresh polish thanks to Disney, developers WayForward and Capcom. Now, before you dismiss this as another reboot, it seems that DuckTales Remastered is, in fact, the same game just with enhanced graphics. Add to that, WayForward is also responsible for the 2D Bloodrayne Betrayal (fun), Double Dragon Neon (repetitive, but forgivable) and Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why’d You Steal Our Garbage?!! and it’s a good bet the game is in safe hands.

Waters – For The One (Director’s Cut)

This music video for WATERS‘ single “For the One” takes us on a trip through The Twilight Zone and out anus of Cthulhu himself. Directed by Allen Cordell and featuring some freaky-awesome masks by artist Tracy Widdess, the video follows a man trying to get rid of some nightmares, instead finding himself consumed by them. The music isn’t my personal taste, but the visuals here are pretty rad… 90s era CGI, stop motion, live action – this vid has them all.
