Fan Art Friday: Karatoys’ Illustrated Toys Series

We haven’t showcased too many toys in our Fan Art Friday column so I figured it was time for a change… sorta. This series of toy illustrations by the mysterious Karatoys (seriously, I could find nothing on who or what Karatoys is) features a line-up of obscure figures from every corner of the toy box (Food Fighters, Turtle Trolls, Transformers, Battle Beasts, etc.), each transformed into awesome 2D drawings.

I think some of them are from a french cartoonist, Bastien Vivès. He talks about it in his blog. His style is quite noticeable (kind of hazy but still vivid).

But i’d says more artists are involved.

    For example, check this link.
