James Boorman Unites the MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE for Awesome Art Print
Character Designer James Boorman dropped us a line recently to share his latest art print, FACES OF THE UNIVERSE, done in homage to He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Depicting the faces 14 different heroes and villains from the toy line, the piece was inspired by Boorman’s “ongoing weekend visits to thrift markets and vintage toy stores, finding, collecting and rediscovering my childhood love of He-Man.”
I really wanted to create a piece or collection [of characters] that we don’t see a lot of. The challenge for me was to get as much of the character into each portrait as I’m only showing the faces. The face essentially had to tell the story of who that character is.
