Capcom Lifts the Veil on ‘Resident Evil Revelations: Unveiled Edition’
Although it was speculated last November that Capcom would be bringing their highly acclaimed DS game, Resident Evil Revelations, to XBOX 360 and PS3 consoles nothing was ever confirmed… until now. Apparently, as announced by Play-Asia.com, the “HD version” of the game (now called Resident Evil Revelations: Unveiled Edition is set for a May 2013 release (at least in Japan). Fans will remember that the original game was praised for its return to the series’ survival horror roots, providing an emphasis on flight rather than fight thanks to limited ammo, tougher enemies and puzzle-solving.
Coinciding with the announcement are a load of new stills and a launch trailer that, while not revealing too much, showcases fully re-tuned graphics and reportedly “new scenarios and enemies” to boot. As if that weren’t enough, Capcom is promising “more weapons for gamers to wield, more custom parts to pick up” and online co-op. As entertaining, yet disappointing as Resident Evil 6 was I’m definitely looking forward to this Revelations redux!
