CONTEST: Create your Own ‘Monster Cereal’ Mascot and Win Limited Edition Art Prints

In continuation of our month-long Halloween celebration, we’ve got a brand new contest for you guys courtesy of artist and Monster Cereal uberfan, Manny Galán. This is guaranteed to be an extra special contest considering the prize, limited edition MONSTER prints by Galán, are actually SIGNED by Count Chocula, Franken Berry and Boo Berry!

That’s right, the voices behind breakfast’s scariest cereals have each signed their respective print… Count Chocula signed by Larry Kenney, Franken Berry signed by Robb Pruitt and Boo Berry signed by Chris Phillips. While Kenney is the original voice of the Count, Pruitt and Phillips took over their roles in 2009’s MONTSTERS CD “Spooky sounds from Count Chocula’s Castle.”

I’m extremely surprised none of them are voiced by Frank Welker.

Now that you mention it, that is pretty interesting. Didn’t he do the Toucan Sam?

  • http://www.spookcentralkids.com Tim Tilley

Toucan Sam was originally voiced by Mel Blanc, but since Blanc’s death Maurice LaMarche has taken over. Maurice is best known as Egon on the “Real Ghostbusters,” and Brain on “Pinky and the Brain.”

Thanks for that Tim! Never in a million years would I have thought I’d hear Toucan Sam and Egon Spengler used in the same sentence. ;)

You are most welcome! I have always been good at deciphering which actors do which voices… providing I have heard them somewhere else before that is. As for the contest, I didn’t have time to enter, but would have loved to have. Good luck to everyone and I am looking forward to seeing all the awesome designs.
