Weird World of Webcomics: Disappointing Monsters

With ParaNorman raising a flag for strange kids everywhere it seems we’ve been finding new friends everywhere. Take Gilbert for instance, he’s a boy whose best friend is an imaginary zombie named Edison. Together they star in a weekly webcomic called Disappointing Monsters, created by Daniel Bradford and Owen Mackinder, in which the duo explore the wonders of the universe like burning dog poo, poking fun at David Lynch films, creating life from play-doh (in the form of a purple Frankendick) and exposing perverts.

When not doing those things, their other friends (Pennywise and Cthulhu) take center stage along with pop culture icons like Jason Voorhees, Rambo… and Gary Busey. It’s sorta like Calvin and Hobbes, if Calvin was a bit more homicidal and Hobbes was a corpse. You can follow the weird adventures of Gilbert and his sideshow sidekicks every week at www.disappointingmonsters.com.
