What is the ‘ParaNorman Stop-Motion Zombie Lab?’

We may have a little over a month left before the stop-motion monster movie, ParaNorman, hits theaters everywhere but the marketing machine has only just started (and I couldn’t be happier). Imagine my surprise when a “secret” link appeared in my inbox last night with a strange title and an even stranger message.

Offering little explanation as to what the ParaNorman Stop-Motion Zombie Lab is, the video features Producer and Lead Animator, Travis Knight, providing an awe-inspiring look behind the scenes of the film as well as a brief introduction to how stop-motion animation works. Between promos like this one and the detailed documentation of their ParaNorman Instagr.am account, Laika is looking to put strange kids like myself in animated heaven!

  3. Excellent! I heard rumours for a while that Laika was going to stop making feature length movies after Coraline. I’m glad that was a filthy lie!
