On the Shelves: DVD Releases for Jun 19, 2012
Some of the DVD/Blu-Ray releases for this week.

Project X – I’d seen the website and trailer for this during the viral campaign earlier this year. No, it’s not a remake of that Matthew Broderick/Helen Hunt movie from 1987. It’s sort of a reality version of Superbad, I guess. These kids decide to throw an epic party while their parents are away and it gets out of hand. I think it looks pretty good.

Seeking Justice – This definitely looks intriguing. Cage’s wife (January Jones) is brutally attacked. While in the hospital, Cage is approached by Guy Pearce who offers to have the perpetrators dealt with. He only asks that Cage do a favor for him in the future. Cage soon discovers the price of that favor and must hide it from his wife.

Flying Monsters 3D – Featuring flying dinosaurs. In high def 3D. Said National Geographic, “You are welcome”.

Van Halen: The David Lee Roth Years – Documentary about the early years of one of my favorite bands of all time, Van Halen. Hopefully we’ll get more details on the rift the band suffered after their album, 1984. If any band needs a book like Motley Crue’s The Dirt, it’s Van Halen.

IN THIS ISSUE: Strange Kid runs amok in 80s/90s TV series! Jason Edmiston, Matthew Allison, Drew Rausch, David DeGrand, Brent Engstrom...
