The Active Set Gets Torn to Shreds in Famous for Dying Music Video

When it comes to gratuitously gory zombies the last thing that comes to mind is pop music… perhaps with exception to Hanson’s cameo on Celebrity Deathmatch or Micheal Jackson’s seminal Thriller. However, here we are on Halloween day with a new music video for The Active Set’s Famous for Dying single that shoots ever preconception I had of pop music in the face with a sawed off shotgun.

If I’m being completely honest I don’t care much for the song itself, but the make up and special effects really slap me in the face with its over the top awesomeness. It may very well be the first (and last) music video in which the band it literally torn in pieces and devoured alive… outside of GWAR or Alice Cooper that is.

Directed by Lior Molcho with special FX by Walter Phelan (Master of Horror: Fair-Haired Child). Starring Matthew Stolarz, Wayne Russell, Michael Castro, Shelby Lindley, Tristin Gorrell, Melanie Russell, Walter Phelan, Damien Stolarz, Adam Stolarz, Jeremy Stolarz.

  • I just love that the last minute of the video is of the zombies sitting and eating.
