Welcome to a brand new feature here at the clubhouse, Six Sinister Questions, made extra special just for Halloween!
Every week this month we sit a different horror-loving creator down for a series of six, sinister questions spewed from the inner bowels of hell.
They’ll make you laugh. They’ll make you cry. They might even make you tear out your eyes… probably not. Still, here are the results.
Today’s guest is GARY PULLIN!
What’s the scariest urban legend you ever heard as a kid?
There was a corn field on the other side of our street, now a sub-division of homes, but we used to run around in it at night. I don’t know why, we would be totally paralyzed with fear in there. There was only one house on the property. It was very big and very old. No one knew who really lived in it. It was of victorian design and I remember the roofing had those half-round shingles. It just looked haunted as hell. We made up stories about the “evil” owner who lived there, killing all who trespassed in his corn field.
What’s your favorite Halloween candy?
Candy apples and razorblades.
Vincent Price. I don’t think I’d be afraid though. I’d just want to watch horror films, talk about art and have him cook for my wife and I.
What are your Top 5 “must-see” horror movies to watch during Halloween?
- The Thing
- Ginger Snaps
- Session 9
- The Changeling
How would you survive an alien invasion?
I’d find some of my friends who do make-up fx, try to blend in as best I could, steal a space craft and set course for “Get The Fuck Outta Here.” If that doesn’t work, I’d just show them the nightly news and maybe they’d just leave.
Trick… or treat?
Treat! Because I’m a guy who really knows how to treat himself.
