PINK! (not to be confused with the musician) is the kind of web series you get when you mix just the right amount of “grit, girls, and gunplay.” As it happens, those are also the same ingredients of a good night in Vegas, but I suppose that’s not really relevant here.

Created by Blake Calhoun and written by Mike Maden is an episodic dark comedy crime series starring Natalie Raitano as Natalie “Nate” Cross with a “female revenge film” bent to it. Some may recognize Raitano as the hardcore, short-haired hottie from the TV series V.I.P. (yep, that’s her!).

As best as I can gather from the first few episodes the premise follows Nate, a contract killer who somehow finds herself in prison and unwilling to return to her murderous ways until she succumbs to a mid-life crisis as she begins to feel her biological clock ticking away. Sounds like a good enough reason enough to kill a bunch of people, right? I thought so.

The series goes back and forth between the past and present, with flashbacks highlighting Nate’s troubled relationship with her father who was himself some kind of special agent/black ops type of guy. Season One concludes with 10 episodes and sees Nate striking a deal with some government agency as a specialized “work release” type of program. I haven’t gone any further into the series quite yet, but with three seasons and 35 episodes total, I’m sure things go from bad to worse for our heroine. Will Nate ever find her man? I guess it depends of whether she wants to put a bullet through him or have a baby with him.
